Rocky Mountain Horse Expo 9th Annual Art Show & Sale

March 9 – 11, 2018  /  National Western Complex, Denver, Colorado

ENTRY DEADLINE:  December 15, 2017

Equine Art in the Park is a juried fine art exhibit and sale celebrating the spirit of the horse. The show features contemporary original work including paintings, pastels, drawings, mixed-media, photography, pottery, and sculpture/3-D.

Cash prizes are awarded to 1st Place selections in categories of Photography, 2-D Media, and 3-D Media.  Award placement in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mention is made by a panel of judges in each category.

  • Up to THREE digital submissions are accepted and can be entered online here. by DECEMBER 15, 2017.
  • Work should primarily emphasize Equine Subject Matter (Horses, Donkeys, Mules, etc. Tack and people are acceptable, but emphasis should remain fixed on equine subject matter overall.)
  • Digital submissions should be JPEG Format no larger than 150 resolution and no larger than 10” high or wide and must be accompanied by the Artist Form & Payment.
  • Entry fee is $45 for up to three submissions per category.
  • All entries must be original work and available for showing and sale, if selected. One or all three entries may be selected for showing.
  • Original work in 2D. Max size of 40” including frame. Sculpture no larger than Life Size. All work must be ready for gallery quality display (matted, framed, etc.)
  • If selected, artwork must be in Colorado no later than FEBRUARY 15, 2018 (Further instructions will be communicated for selected work.)
  • Sales:  40% to Colorado Horse Council to benefit horse welfare; remaining goes to Artist.
  • Unsold artwork may be displayed at other venues up through JULY 15, 2018 before being returned to Artist (if still unsold).
